John Boccieri is a commercial airline pilot and an Air Force Colonel currently based in the Pentagon as a Senior Military Advisor for the Reserves. He deployed eleven times in operations around the globe to support our troops, including Operations Iraqi Freedom and Enduring Freedom. Boccieri has served our nation in over 40 countries and has 32 years of service in the U.S. Military.

Born in Youngstown, John is the son of Rosemary and Nicholas Boccieri. John attended Ursuline High school and received academic and baseball scholarships to play at St. Bonaventure University in New York.  He earned all Conference accolades both for baseball and academic standing in the Atlantic 10 Conference. John graduated with honors and a degree in Economics in 1992. After college, he played a year of semi-pro baseball in the Frontier League then went to work for State Representative Richard Cordray. After his work at the Statehouse he joined the Air Force, becoming an officer, based in Little Rock, Arkansas. While on active duty, he received master’s degrees in public administration and business.

In addition to wearing the uniform and serving our country, Colonel Boccieri served as a United States Congressman, Ohio State Senator and an Ohio State Representative. As a State Legislator, Boccieri is most proud of the Military Injury Relief Fund which helps Ohio veterans injured in Iraq and Afghanistan with medical costs.

John is happily married to Stacey Kennedy-Boccieri and blessed to have 5 beautiful children.
